NEWSPAPER SCANDALL SCOOTER HOON STRIKES WHO WAS THIS RIDER?? READ ON Murray SCOOTER HOONS................ Are they the new scurge of modern society? A recent Youtube video of a Vespa GT200 "suggesting" the rider was doing 130kmph along a country road sparked a massive uproar not only on the NSW / Victorian border where it was filmed, but the story was also taken up by the Melbourne Age. Later in the day we heard that the story was even taken up by Today Tonight or A Current affair!!!!
When Scooter Centrals roving reporter looked closer at the event, he discovered that the owner of the said, "Hoon on a Vespa" was in fact a Scooter Central customer.
Now, we dont in any way suggest that speeding on a quiet country road is acceptable, but really, aren't there bigger criminals about the place that one of the biggest papers in the land, or national TV shows could report on??
If an overseas visitor was to read the headline in the papers, they'd be excused for thinking that Australias public enemy Number One was a scooter hoon. Surely then, walking through Kings Cross at 2 in the morning is safe as houses!!
