MUST HAVE ACCESSORY TYRE PRESSURE GAUGE GET MAXIMUM SAFETY AND PERFORMANCE FROM YOUR TYRES! Murray Walters Its super important to keep your tyre pressure at the correct level. We find this to be the most common comment by our technicians here at the store.
What we all need to remember is that our tyres are an important part of braking and suspension on a scooter. If your tyre pressue is too high or too low, you may find that the suspension struggles to deal with the bumps on the road, braking distances are often vastly increased, and tyre wear speeds up or becomes uneven.
Starting at $19.95 we recommend the Keiti digital tyre gauge. Keep it under your seat or in the glovebox and check your tyre pressue every 2 weeks. Dont trust the service station gauges as the can often get knocked about ( and even run over), so there are rarely two the same.
The general rule of thumb is 28psi in the front and 30psi in the back and add 2 psi if you are regularly taking a pillion.
Feel free to ask our staff what the best pressures are for the front and rear tyres on your scoot.
