LED LIGHTS

The full-LED triple headlamp unit gives the SR-GT an immediately identifiable light signature in both day and  night conditions. The design of the headlamp is evocative  of the motorcycle products of the Aprilia brand.  The unit features a single high beam headlight in the centre flanked by two low beam headlights with  integrated position lights.  The full LED tail light situated on the tall, tapering tail  also creates a distinctive signature. The turn indicators,  which are also full LED, are integrated in the same unit  as the main tail light.

MOTORCYCLE HANDLEBAR CONTROL SETS

The handlebar control sets are derived from Aprilia’s  motorcycle products and ergonomically designed for extreme comfort. These sets host all the controls needed  to access the functions of the scooter, with intuitive and  simple buttons at the fingertips of the user.

FULL LCD DISPLAY

The control centre of the SR-GT is a white-on-black  LCD display displaying a host of vital parameters.  The display is ready for installation of Aprilia MIA,  the optional connectivity system letting users pair  their smartphone with the vehicle.

ACTIVE RIDING POSTION AND SECONDARY FOOT POSITION

The ergonomics of the SR-GT are impeccable, with the  ergonomic triangle connecting the saddle-footpeg-handlebar that ensure superlative comfort and freedom of  movement for riders of all stature.  The riding position has been defined specifically to offer  a fun riding experience even during day-to-day use, with  two different foot positions on the footpegs letting the rider choose between a dynamic posture or a more relaxed  position that won’t tire them out even after a long journey.

PROTECTIVE

Placed high up relative to the wheel, the front leg shield  of the SR-GT has taut lines tapering up towards the top  fairing for excellent year-round protection.  A generously sized windscreen is also available for users  who want even more protection.

AGILITY & STABILITY

A total weight of just 144 kg (125 cc version with full fuel tank), the impeccable ergonomic triangle and 14”-  13” wheels shod with wide section tyres come together  to make this an extremely agile yet stable vehicle with  extraordinary directional responsiveness.

STORAGE COMPARTMENT UNDER SADDLE

Approx. 25 litres of storage  space in compartment under saddle, for carrying a full-face  helmet plus other objects.

USB PORT

The practical compartment  in the leg shield back plate includes a USB port and space  for carrying and charging a smartphone.

LONG TRAVEL SUSPENSION

The SHOWA front fork and the rear dampers have  (respectably +22% and +7%) longer travel than the  leading competitor. The long travel suspension significantly improves comfort and safety, especially in  case of poor road conditions, such as when riding over  potholes, manhole covers and cobblestones.  The long travel suspension and the setup of the suspension  itself ensure an enjoyable and safe riding experience.

CROSS TERRAIN WHEELS

The 5-spoke design of the aluminium alloy wheels  reinterprets the styling cues seen on other Aprilia  products in recent years.  The wheels are fitted with tyres with an “all terrain” tread  pattern ideal for all road surface types, from smooth city  asphalt and cobbles to gravel.  The width of the tyre ensures sure-footed safety and grip.

WAVE BRAKE DISCS

Measuring 260 mm in diameter, the front brake disc is larger than on the next best compact GT on the market.  The wave design of the disc dissipates heat more  effectively for better braking performance.  The wave disc is also lighter than a conventional disc. On SR-GT Sport 125cc, 200cc and SR-GT 200cc versions,  the rear brake also uses a wave disc (standard rear disc  on SR-GT 125 cc).

HIGH GROUND CLEARANCE

A minimum ground clearance of 175 mm, approximately  23% more than other scooters, lets the Aprilia SR-GT negotiate speed bumps and ride off any kerb with ease

POWERFUL ENGINE

The engines powering the Aprilia SR-GT are state of the art liquid cooled 4-valve, 4-stroke units with  electronic fuel injection, compliant with EURO 5 emissions standards .All versions are equipped with a start & stop system for greater fuel efficiency and lower environmental impact.  The ‘on-board’ configuration of the  cooling system minimises space usage and maximises cooling efficiency.

The Aprilia SR-GT is equipped with the most powerful  125 cc engine in this class, a result made possible by a development process focused particularly on optimising  engine efficiency.  The i-get 125 engine produces 11 kW, the maximum  power output permitted for this class by legislation.  The i-get 125 engine is approximately 14.5% more  powerful than the next best in class.
