The Evolution Continues with the Vespa Sprint

New Piaggio i-Get engine has single cylinder 4-stroke 125 air cooled engines with electronic injection and 3-valve timing. Each and every detail, from the exhaust to the internal design of the gearbox cover, has been designed to make the ride smoother, quieter and more comfortable. Fuel consumption reduces to a minimum 45.5 km/l possible for the 125 and 41 km/l for the 150 measured in the WMTC cycle. The exhaust system is also entirely new. The new unit makes the engine quieter and at the same time ensures a more full and pleasant timbre. ABS braking system which ensure the best – ever performance and the higher standards in terms of safety.

As it’s name suggests, this is the sportiest and most dynamic in the “small body” Vespa in the whole range.  Today’s sprint builds on the  heritage of the sporty Vespas in the 60’s and 70’s whilst retaining the features that made them so successful with the young of the time, such as the sport design saddle, the red rear shock damper and the rectangular front headlight.  These traditional strengths have now been joined by the features and technology of a modern scooter, such as LED lights, analogue-digital instrumentation, improved comfort, the safety of the ABS system, a new front suspension and 12″ wheels mounted for the first time on a “small body” Vespa.  
Sprint designed with the elegance of an exclusive style but without renouncing the comfort aspect. They inherit the exclusive, refined elegance of the Vespa 946 and maintain that formal spirit. But, despite adopting the special characteristics of the most prized Vespa of all time, it doesn’t sacrifice the practicality and comfort of a Vespa for everyday use – the daily star of city journeys.
