Life happens. If you accidentally lose your second scooter key, getting a new key cut and coded or programmed is no worries.
OUR ADVICE: Never ride around on your scooter with the master key. If you lose that master you might be in a bit of strife. The second/spare key can be coded to your master key, but not the other way around.
We sell spare coded keys for Vespa & Piaggio at Scooter Central which you can then take to a reputable locksmith to get cut.
Once the key is cut, you can code the key to the scooter with the following steps;
- Put your brown key into the ignition.
- Turn it on and then off (within 3 seconds).
- Put the blue key to be programmed in the ignition.
- Turn it on and then off (also within 3 seconds).
- If you have additional blue keys, repeat step 3 and 4 for the rest of those blue keys.
- Finish off the programming by inserting the brown key again.
- Turn it on and then off (within 3 seconds).
The spare coded key may be either blue or black
