Our Italian friends at Vespa have just sent us a new colour for the Vespa GTV 300 range. I just googled the translation which is Tenacious Green.
The GTV 300 is $14,190 ride away. making it the pinnacle of Vespas regular range of scooters. Customers love this scooter as it is steeped in history and has many design features that are a reminder of the original Vespa that was launched back in 1946. In fact the original 250cc GT 60 model that launched the GTV range back in 2007 was the first ‘limited release’ Vespa we sold here at Scooter Central. Only 999 were built for the world market and we managed get our hands on 4 (wish I kept one for myself). Our customers loved them and we could have sold the lot many times over.
Vespa were so taken by the demand that they decided to make a regular production model which morphed over the years from a GTV 250 version to the GTV 300 version and today in 2025 we have the GTV 300 High Performance Motor (HPE) version (which absolutely rips!)
The new Verde Tenace that has landed is the latest thinking in the GTV 300 range. It includes the bespoke digital instrumentation, that is only to be found on the GTV 300 HPE as has antilock braking from Bosch and traction control (anti slip) to the rear wheel. The fuel injected High Performance Motor is the most powerful engine ever produced by the Vespa and our mechanics love it as they can access all sorts of technical data from the scooters memory during service intervals. Regular servicing is every year or 5000kms and the scooter comes with a 2 year unlimited kms warranty, proving that Vespa really trust their products.
Even with all these technical advantages of modern machinery, we all love that the Vespa GTV 300 hasn’t forgotten its history as it still has the original step through design, has the headlight on the front fender and exposed handlebars just like the 1946 model, and is built out of a metal monocoque frame just like the old days.
