New SYM DRGBT 160 Slated For Late 2022

Word has been leaked from a trustworthy source that we are expecting to see the brand new model from SYM in late 2022.

SYM DRG 180 scooter looks the business with the latest Euro 5 compliant automatic 158cc liquid cooled and fuel injected power plant.  The engine produces 10.9kW of power and 14.6Nm of torque, and it is geared to top out at around 107 kmph.

It also comes with start stop technology which activates three seconds after coming to idle.  The scooter then restarts with a twist of the throttle.  This improves fuel economy and does it’s part to reduce emissions.

Total weight is on the lighter side for a water cooled machine at 135kgs.

Suspension is handled with telescopic forks up front and a mono shock at the rear.

Wheel base is 1380mm and along with 13 inch front and rear tyres, and this should make for an agile and nimble ride.

There are anti lock disc brakes to both front and rear wheels, and, impressively for a smaller capacity machine, traction control to the rear wheel.

Fuel capacity is 7.4 litres which should give a range of around 200kms to a tank.

The handlebars are exposed and Instrumentation is LED.   There is a handy USB outlet to allow you to charge your phone.

Lighting is also LED and integrated into the body panels for a sleek finish.

From what we can see of the press photos the design is urban sporty and will be a competitor with the Piaggio Medley 150 and Aprilia SRGT 150.

Keep an eye on our newsletter for updates prior to the press launch expected in Nov 2022, which will come with pricing and colour choices.
